About Talk Childcare to Me
We are a Reggio-Emilia learning facility based in Louisville, providing care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old, as well as out of school care for children up to 12 years old. The goal of our center is to provide a safe and comfortable space for your child, and a community which helps and supports each other each and every day.

Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is based on learning through play, creativity, and independence. By blending indoor and outdoor classrooms and environments in a home-away-from-home environment, we are able to create a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn.
Who We Are
Talk Childcare to Me got its start in Louisville by owners Asia and William Rivers. We decided to do things a bit differently at Talk Childcare to Me by creating a space which fosters early learning in a fun and safe environment where children from 6 weeks to 5 years can explore the world around them.
We believe our innovative approach gives children a bright and positive start in life as we encourage both exploration and discovery as well as emotional intelligence and building friendships. They are given independence to guide their own learning and, inspired by the Reggio-Emilia approach, we believe that every child has the capacity to learn in their own way and will develop their own unique way of communicating and learning.

Facilities
Infants
Our infant room is for our youngest children, aged 6 weeks to 12 months old. We have a low ratio of 1 staff member to 4 children to ensure they are given all the care and attention they need at this critical stage.
Toddler 1s
For children aged 13 - 24 months, the Toddler 1s room offers a place to grow and develop at their own pace. We focus on important milestones, as well as encouraging communication in any form. It is key to us that children are free to express themselves in ways that make sense to them.
Toddler 2s
In our Toddler 2s room, 2-3 year olds find plenty of space to explore on their own terms. We encourage them to learn and play with other children as a part of their development, a ratio of 1:10 meaning more time is spent on group activities.
Preschool, 3 - 5 years
Our Preschool classroom is for our 3-5 year olds. We focus on preparing children for kindergarten, teaching them basic social skills such as sharing and turn-taking. Their learning is also focused on giving them a solid foundation from which to build their understanding of the world and continue their education.
Outside Space
A fenced-in play area offers the children the opportunity to get outside, enjoying the fresh air and exploring the natural world. We have a variety of playground equipment for them to jump, climb, leap, and play on, helping to develop their gross motor skills, as well as their social skills.
Out of School Care, 5 - 12 years old
Talk Childcare to Me also provides out of school care for children ages 5 to 12 years old. This is an opportunity for your child to socialize outside of school, taking part in fun activities put on by the center. We offer homework help and learning support.

Merging Teaching and Childcare
We offer a variety of programs, including care for infants and toddlers, preschool, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten.
We also offer after school care for children 5 to 12 years old. Our out of school care continues children’s learning in a fun and supportive space which has been created to empower them and fill them with confidence outside out a classroom environment.
We believe that it’s never too early to start learning and that it’s vital to always present opportunities for children to learn and grow as soon as they start at our setting.
By developing our programs with curriculum experts and childcare specialists, we’ve been able to hone in on what makes early education a success and created a learning program that allows our children to enter school seamlessly.
